Business Teacher
Chaminade High School’s business program prioritizes student-centered learning in the classroom. All juniors and seniors take a financial literacy class in the school’s Bloomberg lab. In addition, students may choose to take Honors Business during junior or senior year.
As part of Chaminade’s effort to advance the mission of a contemporary Catholic education, a state-of-the-art, 20-terminal Financial Literacy Lab may be found on campus. Chaminade is the only high school in the U.S. with this many Bloomberg Terminals or a facility of this size. Many of our graduates pursue careers in business and finance. However, even graduates who don’t work specifically in these fields develop an understanding of finance and the financial markets that will be useful in their daily lives as homeowners, fathers, investors, and consumers. Students learn about financial markets, investing, retirement planning, home ownership and several other topics essential to successfully integrating into adult life in the 21st Century.
In addition to instructional responsibilities, Chaminade faculty coordinate the extensive after-school program of extra-curricular and co-curricular clubs and activities.
