Technology/Digital Citizenship

Each Chaminade High School student is issued a 64GB iPad Air 2. It is used for classroom instruction, homework, collaborative projects, and examinations.

The purpose of Chaminade's use of this technology is very clear: to cultivate a multi-modal, collaborative learning environment where students engage with a traditional liberal-arts curriculum as they develop contemporary skills, mature into conscientious digital citizens, and nurture a desire for lifelong learning.

In addition to coursework in the core subjects, digital citizenship instruction teaches students how to use the Internet responsibly.

With the advent of digital technology in the classroom, however, what hasn't changed at Chaminade is our most valuable teaching tool -- the interpersonal connections built between our teachers and our students.
