Join us at Legacy of Leadership!

The Chaminade Family will come together on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. for our first-ever Legacy of Leadership reception in the AAC. During this event, the school’s two most cherished awards, the Founders Award and the Distinguished Alumnus Award, will be bestowed. Our honorees this year are the embodiment of leadership, faith, and service and are the perfect people to help kick off Legacy of Leadership:

Fr. Garrett Long, S.M. ’62
Recognized as a Founder of Chaminade High School

A beloved mentor and teacher, Fr. Garrett served as Chaminade’s chaplain for years before stepping back this year. He could be found extolling the virtues of Latin, showing a student the joy of woodworking, or offering a sympathetic ear and cherished advice. He has been a constant presence in the school for over 50 years and is beloved by generations of Flyers.

Mr. Randy Dudick
Recognized as a Founder of Chaminade High School

Randy is one of the first people to arrive at school each morning. Walking the halls, he ensures that each classroom is prepared for the school day. His quiet leadership provides a sense of security that our school building will be well-maintained and pristine. He is instantly recognizable to students, staff, and alumni alike, and his dedication has kept Chaminade running smoothly for over 25 years.

Mr. Kevin Conway ’76
Recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus of Chaminade High School

Kevin is the Vice Chairman at Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R), a leading global private equity firm known for blending investment skills with operating capabilities to build great businesses. Kevin joined CD&R in 1994 and serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee and member of their Management Committee. He served as Managing Partner of the firm from 2004 to 2016. Prior to joining CD&R, Kevin was a senior member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Department and Chief of Staff of the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs & Co. After graduating magna cum laude with a degree in economics and political science at Amherst College, Kevin earned a J.D. and an M.B.A. from Columbia University. Kevin has been selected by the Distinguished Alumnus Committee as he exemplifies the ideals of the Chaminade man in his family, community, and professional endeavors.
