About Us
Chaminade High School has been serving the Long Island community since its founding in 1930. The school is owned and operated by the Society of Mary, the Marianists, and is named after Blessed William Joseph Chaminade. Blessed Chaminade founded the order as a priest working to evangelize post-revolutionary France.
Our 1,700 men study a rigorous co-curricular, liberal-arts curriculum in an atmosphere that emphasizes the development of Christian community and education of the heart. That program consists of four years of the core subjects, physical education, three years of fine arts, and one year of health. Chaminade graduates are fully prepared for the most demanding of college curricula, and, each year, 100% of Chaminade graduates attend colleges, universities, prep schools, and service academies.

Stay tuned as we travel the road to our 100th…I guarantee you it will be amazing!

Letter from the President
Dear Chaminade Family,
Welcome to Chaminade High School’s website – the source for all kinds of information about our school. The most important piece of information here is our mission statement, the guiding light, the North Star for all that we do at Chaminade:
MISSION STATEMENT
Chaminade High School is a Catholic college-preparatory institution rooted in the Marianist tradition and committed to the formation of young men as sons of Mary and authentic witnesses to Christ, His Gospel, and His Church. The Chaminade Family educates the whole man — body, mind, and soul — so that he is prepared for professional life, family life, and responsible citizenship.
That is who we are. That is our “why” behind everything we do. Since 1930, Chaminade has been a beacon of hope in our world. Our commitment to nurture the whole man, guided by Gospel values and focused on the care of others, has always been the focus. As we approach our centennial in 2030, we are mindful of all we have been blessed with these past nine decades.
Stay tuned as we travel the road to our 100th…I guarantee you it will be amazing!
Bro. Thomas J. Cleary, S.M. ’81

The Chaminade Family
A network of support spanning from students to alumni to parents.
Family spirit, that quality of life that brings together parents, students, and faculty in a single task, has motivated and enlivened the development of Chaminade High School for nearly one century.

Over 22,000 alumni worldwide make up a network that supports its members for life. Events are held across New York and our nine national alumni chapters.

On any given day, nearly 1,700 young men travel from across the tri-state area to experience a Chaminade education.

Our current parents and parents of alumni are automatically members of the Parents Club, where Flyer spirit and camaraderie come to life for their sons.
