Tuition All arrangements concerning finances are handled through the Treasurer's Office. Checks for tuition should be drawn payable to Chaminade High School. Post-dated checks are not accepted. Tuition details for the school year 2005-2006 are as follows: For students in the high school program, tuition is $6,770.00, the parent portion of which is $6,470 plus a $50 premium for the Tuition Guarantee Plan. The total amount of $6,520 is due and payable by September 1, 2007. As a convenience to parents, payments may be made according to the following schedules: For Incoming Freshmen: September 1, 2007 $2,345 December 1, 2007 $2,345 March 1, 2008 $1,780 For Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors: September 1, 2007 $2,395 December 1, 2007 $2,345 March 1, 2008 $1,780 Please note that the Tuition Guarantee Plan Premium for freshmen was paid at the time of registration. Back To Top The Tuition Guarantee Program Chaminade sponsors a Tuition Guarantee Program through the Chaminade Development Fund, Inc. The purpose of this plan is to guarantee the payment of tuition to the School, until graduation of a given student if that student's parent or legal guardian should die while the student is in good standing at Chaminade. A brochure explaining the Plan is available on request, through the Treasurer's Office. Participation in the plan is mandatory for parents (mother and father) or legal guardians of all students enrolled at Chaminade. The tuition insurance premium is added to the tuition. Back To Top The Chaminade Development Fund, Inc. The Chaminade Development Fund, Inc., exists for the purpose of promoting and supporting the educational work and activities of Chaminade High School. The Chaminade Development Fund has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as eligible to receive charitable (tax deductible) contributions. The Chaminade Development Fund has assisted in the financing of many expansions and renovations of the Chaminade facilities over the years. The Development Fund also conducts the Tuition Insurance Guarantee Program. A major activity of the Development Fund is the TORCH FUND, Chaminade's program of annual giving. The TORCH FUND solicits unrestricted gifts to the Development Fund. Earnings from the Development Fund investments are used to reduce tuition costs by providing additional revenues to the school. A long term goal of the Development Fund is to build an endowment to provide for the continued fiscal stability of the school. The Development Fund publishes an Annual Report for all members of the Chaminade Family. Further information about the Chaminade Development Fund may be obtained from the Director of Development (alumni@chaminade-hs.org). Back To Top Student Aid The Chaminade Development Fund contributes to the tuition cost of all students, thus reducing the parent portion of the tuition. Beginning with the Class of 1999, financial aid is awarded based on need and available funds. A financial aid application may be obtained through the President's Office.
