The Chaminade Flyers varsity football team took on Christ the King High School on Ott Field Saturday. The game coincided with a combined reunion for several alumni classes.
An early success for the season, the Flyers won the game before a packed crowd watching from Gold Star Stadium. In addition to parents, classmates, and friends, alumni from the classes of 1937, 1942, 1952, 1957, 1962, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1997, 2002, 2007, and 2012 cheered for the team. Graduates also enjoyed a picnic buffet with the game before Mass, a school tour, and dinner later in the day.
The Chaminade Pep Band performed from the sidelines, energizing both players and spectators during the game.
