The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has set the week of Sunday, Nov. 5 aside as National Vocations Awareness Week. Chaminade students learned about it during a special presentation Monday.
Bro. Stephen Balletta, S.M. '74 appeared in a prayer video during the school's morning announcements. In it, he explained his discernment of a religious vocation to the Society of Mary, the Marianists, during his time as a Chaminade student. He has been a professed brother teaching at Chaminade nearly 40 years. After teaching English for many years, Bro. Stephen now teaches senior religion. He is also the director of vocations and of the Chaminade Marianist Community.
